Traveling Tummies

The world is our oyster, and it starts with just one big gulp!

Join us as we eat through the globe. After all, our mom always said: “You are what you eat.”

And we are global, baby.

GOING BACK TO OUR ROOTS:  2009 PHILIPPINES

Snorkelling in Palawan, Dos Palmas

Green mango shake and the Lakers... life just can´t get any better than this!

Everything taste better al fresco, green mangoes and bar-b-q chicken finished off with juicy watermelon--- life is sweet!

NORTHERN EXPOSURE:  NORWAY WINTER 2010

We love to come and visit our dad´s hometown.  Everytime we are in Oslo, we always make sure we have enough time to visit our favourite shops for food:

Fancy a cuppa? Enjoying a fresh baked boller and hot cocoa after skiing in Frognerparken.

Silence is Golden

Hey, where´s my other boller?!

United Bakeries is our fave place for fresh baked goodies and scrumptious bread!  New in the bakery circuit, it has a more American approach to baked goods compared to more French inspired Åpent Bakeri —Oslo´s first serious bakery/café.  The macadamia choco chip cookies are TDF (to die for) and the apple walnut muffins are a pillowy crunchy dream.  Did we mention the bread?

Another favourite place for fish is Fjelberg fish store right by our grandparent´s flat in Oslo.  The most beautiful fish store in the world with the best fish, seafood and ready made fish dishes to go… We always buy our cod and our seafood salad from Per O. (the owner and dad´s friend). They also added sushi to their repertoire and Inigo is in heaven!

Fondu madness for Inigo!

The joys of Norwegian seafood at Fjelberg´s!

Fresh cod at its best --- yum!

Hop and away! Inigo at the Mini Olympics at Frognerparken.

Inigo taking a break with pølse med lompe (wiener in potato pancake)---yummy!

Susi and sashimi overkill at Fuji´s --- the original sushi resto in Oslo, our hang-out for the tastiest sushi

Go team Norway! At Holmenkollen

Catching up on Bocuse d´Or reading at Bent Stiansen´s Statsholderens Krostue

Starstruck with Top Master Chef Bent Stiansen. This Bocuse d´Or is mighty heavy...

I enjoyed hanging around both of you while in Palawan, Tagaytay and Lipa. I’m sure farmoor and bepa felt the same sharing your company. You are the best grandchildren in the world together with Paulo, Sofia and Sasha….

Your cooking is indeed turning global and hope to see you soon!
